You have to imagine it like a Renaissance. We who are creatures
of the earth began to act as though we were dwellers of the universe.
Performance project 2018/2019
When plastic expanded on the consumer market in the 1950s after
wartime, it was the colorful, modern way of life, the ideal of a time
freed from limits and restrictions and the euphoria of man's
freewheeling through nature.
In 1955 the fossilfuel industrie's came up with marketing strategies
to teach us 'throw away living'.
We did not immediately understand the concept of disposal and
wanted to keep the plastic cup we so routinised throw away today.
Eternal and eminently disposable, perfect yet utter rubbishplastic
comes from earth, but can't return.
Reduced to a moment of refuse, it travels through dimensions of
space and time.
